After a long legal battle the Seminole Tribe will get to keep its casinos alive in Florida. “Legislators agreed to almost of the provisions sought by the anti-gambling House, including a plan to allow slot machines at the Seminole casinos outside of Miami-Dade and Broward and the exclusive right to banked card games at its Hard Rock complexes in Broward and Hillsborough counties. They aren’t the only winners in the case as the Hialeah race track will reopen under the new ruling with card rooms and slots machines.

In a new twist in TV poker, NBC has announced a new show called “Face the Ace”. Lucky contestants will be chosen to compete head to head against poker pros on the new game show. Each new contestant will be able to chose one of four doors. Behind each door is a different poker professional ready to take them on heads up in a game of Texas Hold’em. If they win against the pro they play a second pro for more money or walk away with what they have. Should they lose they get nothing. If a contestant wins against 3 of the poker pros they will win the $1 million dollar jackpot.
